Getting sick or injured on a trip is stressful enough without also having to figure out, in an unfamiliar country, which hospital to trust, how to talk to your insurer, or whether you are being charged a fair price. This is the part of travelling in Egypt that Egypt X helps with.

What we actually do

Egypt X helps tourists in Egypt connect with appropriate medical care and coordinates directly with their existing travel or medical insurance provider. In practice that means:

• Helping you get to a suitable hospital or clinic for your situation, rather than whichever is nearest or most convenient for someone else.
• Liaising with your insurance company on your behalf while you focus on getting better, not on paperwork.
• Providing a point of contact in your own language during a stressful, unfamiliar situation.

What we are not

Egypt X Ltd is a travel and tourism company. It is not an insurance company, not an insurance broker or intermediary, and not a healthcare provider. It does not sell, arrange, advise on or earn commission from any insurance product, and it charges nothing for this assistance. It does not replace your existing travel or medical insurance — it simply helps you use the policy you already hold, by liaising with your own provider. If you do not currently have travel insurance, we strongly recommend arranging it before you travel.

Who this is for

Anyone visiting Egypt who wants the reassurance of a point of contact if something goes wrong — from divers and adventure travellers to visitors with an existing medical condition who want to confirm their options before they fly. There is no cost to reach out and ask a question before you travel.
